This is what you see when you look out the living room window in our new Montevideo apartment. (I'm not posting pictures of the rest because it's very dirty.) Zac's intimately familiar with this view because he's been staring out the window eagerly awaiting the start of Semana Criolla, when all the gauchos del campo - cowboys from the country - bring their horses to the city for a week of shows and rodeos. Thankfully, finally, that week starts today. So we're off, fully equipped with backpacks, water bottles and two green apples.
Rio Uruguay, let 'er buck!
